Author: Jeffrey Brown

Jeffrey Brown, born in 1975 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a celebrated comic artist and writer known for his unique blend of autobiographical storytelling and humor. Initially aspiring to become a fine artist, Brown turned his focus to comics while earning his MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, debuting with his autobiographical book, "Clumsy," in 2001. Since then, he has published over a dozen works with notable publishers such as TopShelf, Fantagraphics, and Chronicle Books, including his recent graphic memoir, "Funny Misshapen Body," from Simon & Schuster. In addition to his contributions to graphic novels, Brown directed an animated video for the band Death Cab For Cutie and has had his art featured on NPR's "This American Life." His work has been exhibited in prestigious galleries across major cities including New York, San Francisco, and Paris, and he received the Ignatz Award in 2003 for "Outstanding Minicomic." Currently, Brown resides in Chicago with his wife, Jennifer, and their son, Oscar.
